Design-time support preview

This section provides a preview of the new Visual Studio .NET Design-Time support built into QuickAdmin v2.0. For a complete walk-through, read the Tutorial.

Property builders

Below is one of the many property builders in QuickAdmin v2.0. This dialog box enables you to enable or disable various global QuickAdmin parameters, such as if the Add, Edit and Delete buttons are shown.

Tools

An extensive selection of the tools are available to the QuickAdmin developer. Pictured below are the Advanced Search tools - these are simply dragged to the Advanced Search Template (see below). Each Advanced Search item searches a field in the database.

Templates

Below is the Advanced Search template. Tools from the Advanced Search toolbox are dropped in this toolbox to create the Advanced Search. Note how the contents of the Customer Company field are automatically populated from the database, even in design-time mode.

We also show the Properties window of the Order Date tool - note that we can control its appearance and behaviour from here.

Results

Here we show the Property Builder of the ResultsDataGrid. This enables you to set-up the database columns that will appear in the search results.
